About the temple
▼About Shinka-ji’s Kinko Benzaiten
The Eternal Lamp (Fumetsu no Hōtō) located in the inner sanctuary of the Konponchūdō Hall at Enryaku-ji Temple on Mount Hiei has been burning continuously since 788 AD(the 7th year of the Enryaku era), when Saichō established Ichijō Shikan-in—the predecessor of the Konpon Chūdō—and placed a lamp before the principal image of Yakushi Nyorai. It is said to have burned continuously for 1,200 years without ever going out, which is why it is called the “Eternal Lamp.” Shinka-ji is one of the temples that has received a branch of this sacred flame.

Two-thirds of the space is carpeted, and one-third is covered with tatami mats.
It can be used as a meeting room or for classes such as yoga.
・It is also suitable for remote work or small group meetings for those working from home.
・We can arrange chairs and tables to suit your event.
・We implement thorough hygiene measures, including ventilation and disinfection, so you can use the space with peace of mind.
