About the temple
Founded in 1600 (Keicho 5), this sub-temple of the Myoshin-ji branch of the Rinzai school of Zen Buddhism was established by the 71st abbot of Myoshin-ji, Tosen Sojin, with Kumako Sugihara (the older sister of Nene, the principal consort of Toyotomi Hideyoshi) serving as its founding patron.
We offer the main hall [Yakushido], a hall with 400 years of history, for rental.
From Hanazono Station, you can walk through the grounds of the head temple, Myoshin-ji, and enjoy the atmosphere of a sightseeing trip.
It is the perfect space for a special, out-of-the-ordinary experience.
Please enjoy the unique atmosphere of a temple for your meetings or off-site gatherings in a setting unlike your everyday environment.
